Is the title race in the premier league closer to ever?

This year there are more clubs competing for the premier league title than ever before. But who are the realistic title contenders? Here are our views on who has a realistic chance of competing for the top prize in English football.

Arsenal

Arsenal have been undoubtedly the surprise of the season so far, many football fans did not give Arsenal a realistic chance this season even with their record braking signing Mesut Özil signing in the summer. Since the start of the premier league season arsenal have won 11 of their last 14 premier league games, only losing 2 games and drawing the other. Does this make Arsenal a genuine title contender? Here at Football Agents and Sports Lawyers we don’t think Arsenal have the strength in depth to compete for the title. If Arsenal does not strengthen their squad in the January transfer window they may struggle to retain the top spot.

Here at Football Agents we predict that Arsenal will finish 3rd

Chelsea

When Chelsea confirmed Jose Mourinho as their manager everyone expected the choose one to pick up where he left off, however this season Chelsea have had an average start to the season winning 9 of their 14 games, losing 3 and drawing 2. Mourinho has come under fire from critics and supports after leaving out key players for vital games. Mourinho has regularly left out Jan Mata and David Luiz who was regular starters under Rafa Benitez. Here at Football Agents and Sports Lawyers we think that Chelsea have a realistic chance of winning the title providing that Mourinho finds a squad that he is happy with and is allowed to strengthen his squad in January.

Everton

Everton have been renowned for slow starts in the past, however this season Everton have started strongly have won 7 of the last 14 games drawing 6 and only losing 1. Since Roberto Martinez took over in the summer he has brought in several key players to strengthen his squad, players such as Gareth Barry (on loan from Manchester City) and Romelu Lakaku (on loan from Chelsea). Everton have also developed a new pass and move philosophy which is improving Everton’s chances of reaching the top 4. Here at Football Agents and Sports Lawyers we think that Everton will fade near the end of the season, and with their small squad they may struggle if there squad picks up injuries.

Liverpool

Liverpool has also started off strongly this season winning 8 of the 14 games this season losing 3 and drawing 3. Liverpool this season could be serious title contenders but here at Football Agents and Sports Lawyers we think that Liverpool will struggle to keep up the pace and will fall short of the Premier League title. Liverpool has settled into the philosophy that was set by Brandon Rodgers last season, however Liverpool have failed to find a formation that suits there style of play this season and have tried out several formations such as 4-4-2, 3-5-2 and 4-2-3-1. Liverpool may look to strengthen their squad in January as they are short of cover in several areas.

Manchester City

At the beginning of this premier league campaign Manchester City was tipped to be champions come May, however City started the season quite slowly winning 9 of the 13 games this season losing 4 and drawing 1. City’s average start of season could be due to the injuries they have sustained to key players including Vincent Kompany and David Silva. City goalkeeper, Joe Heart has also had a poor start to the season which has lead to him being dropped from the Manchester City side, however hear at Football Agents and Sports Lawyers we believe that its only a matter of time before the team get back to winning ways and will be hard to stop this season. City may also look to strengthen their squad in January and may spend big to try and secure the premier league title

Here at Football Agents and Sports Lawyers we predict that Manchester City will finish 1st

Manchester united

Manchester United has had an poor start to the season by their standards winning 6 of their 14 games losing 4 and drawing 4. Here at Football Agents and Sports Lawyers we believe that the slow start may have been coursed by the departure of Alex Ferguson. Since taking over from Alex Ferguson, David Moyes has struggled to get the best out of his side, this may be due to injuries to some key players including Ferdinand, Vidic, Van Persie and Rooney, however United have picked up some form and are slowly starting to0 show some potential under David Moyes. Here at Football Agents and Sports Lawyers we think united will fail to make the top 4 unless they strengthen their squad in several areas.

Tottenham

Tottenham has also surprised us this season, but not in a good way. Since the departure of Gareth Bale Tottenham have struggled to score goals. In Tottenham’s first 14 games they have only scored 13 goals. Since the departure of Bale Tottenham has spent heavily to strengthen their squad bringing in 7 players for around 100million, however Tottenham start of the season has been below average winning 7 of their first 14 games, losing 4 and drawing 3. We think that Tottenham will have a realistic chance of making the top 4 providing that they find themselves a regular goal scorer

Here at Football Agents and Sports Lawyers we predict that Tottenham will finish 7th
