Moroccan international Adel Taarabt has penned a new deal with Queens Park Rangers in a deal which will keep him at the club until 2016. The Attacking midfielder will also wear the number 10 shirt for the club.
The 23 year old began his career at French side RC Lens, He managed to make one appearance for the club before being snapped up on a loan deal to English giants Tottenham Hotpsur, it was later announced that the Moroccan maestro was to pen a permanent deal for the White Hart Lane club. Taarabt only managed to make a handful of appearances for the club before being snapped up by fellow London club Queens Park Rangers on a loan deal. Taarabt managed to highlight his potential at the club and later penned a permanent deal for the Loftus Road club. In his first year, Taarabt was appointed captain after a series of fantastic performances, and was regarded by many as QPR's "talisman." Taarabt was a key member of the side that lifted QPR into the Premiership but announced his intention to sign for a bigger club during pre season, stating that French giants Paris Saint German were interested as well as Premiership highflyers Arsenal. It soon became evident throughout the season why the clubs stated they were not interested as Taarabt failed to make any real impression on the Premiership finishing the season with 2 goals and several off field arguments with teammates.
Despite all this, Taarabt has decided to stay at the club and is obviously hoping to try to prove himself in the Premiership and he has shown this by agreeing this new contract.
