Sunderland sings Rodwell

Sunderland has confirmed the signing on Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell for a fee reported to be £10 million.

Rodwell who has spent 2 years at Manchester City has signed a 5 year contact at Sunderland keeping him at the club until 2019.

Rodwell joined Manchester City from Everton 2 years ago for £12 million and has struggled to keep fit and gain regular first team experience.

Rodwell is Sunderland’s fifth signing and following the signings of Jordi Gomez, Billy Jones, Patrick van Aanholt and Costel Pantilimon
