Suarez confirms he is 100% fit

Liverpool and Uruguay striker Luis Suarez has confirmed that he is 100% fit to face England on Thursday. Suarez had to sit out Uruguay’s opening game defeat to Costa Rica. After the 3.1 defeat Suarez was reduced to tears on the sideline

Suarez who has scored 82 goals since joining Liverpool in 2011 had confirmed that he had set a realistic target to be fit for Thursday’s game in Sao Paulo. Suarez has confirmed that the England game will be a tuff game. However, Suarez thinks he can exploit England’s weaknesses with 5 of his Liverpool team mates likely to start against Uruguay.

Suarez said “I have been training for a few days with the team and I am 100% ready, I now only need time on the pitch and to play the game

"There is not one player that is going to be the saviour. We all have to work together to carry on."

"There was never a moment when Liverpool said to me 'don't play'. The club have complete trust in Uruguay's team.

"I know all the English national-team players, both because they are team-mates or because they are rivals. They have defensive woes that we can take advantage of, but I won't tell the press how we have to play."
