Sturridge unlikely to feature confirms Rodgers

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed that it is unlikely Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge will feature against  Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Sturrdige who has been injuried since the end of August with a thigh injury travelled with his Liverpool team mates on Monday evening sparking rumours that the striker could play a part on Tuesday.

Brendan Rodgers said “I brought every player out with us, knowing this game is very important to us,” Rodgers said. “It is a sign that we are very much together, that all the players have travelled, whether injured or fit.

“We will work out here over the next couple of days. With Daniel, we will see how he responds, but it is highly unlikely he will be fit."
