Real Madrid sign Rodriguez

Real Madrid has confirmed that they have signed Monaco forward James Rodriguez on a long term contract for a fee reported to be €71 million.

Rodriguez took this year’s World Cup buy storm scoring 6 goals and winning the Fifa World Cup Golden Boot award.

Rodriguez will be joining up with other star forwards in Ronaldo, Bale, Benzema and Di Maria

Following the signing an clubs spokesman said “"The player will be presented today, Tuesday 22 July, at 20:00 CET (7pm), in the Santiago Bernabéu's presidential box.

"Following that, James Rodríguez will take his first steps on the Santiago Bernabéu's pitch wearing the Real Madrid jersey and will then answer questions from the media outlets in attendance in the press room."
