Naismith Signs for Everton

This morning Everton have confirmed the signing of Scottish international Steven Naismith.

The 25 year old rejected a contract offer from the newco Rangers and has signed for Everton as a free agent. Naismith came through the youth ranks at Kilmarnock before making over 100 appearances for the killies. He had been regarded as one of the brightest talents in the SPL in his time at Kilmarnock and eventually signed for Rangers in 2007. Steven Naismith has developed himself into an integral part of the Rangers squad in recent years but chose not too remain with the new setup of the "newco" due to the fact that this would include him having to play in the lower divisions of scottish football.
