Mancini Commits His Long Term Future To City

Roberto Mancini has penned a new deal at the Etihad Stadium until 2017, this has ended any speculation of a potential move for Mancini to Russia, which he had been widely tipped to do so after their disappointing Euro 2012 campaign. Mancini has enjoyed a very successful season at the helm of Manchester City, wiining the clubs first Premier League title since 1968.

Mancini has enjoyed a successful managerial career, managing Fiorentina, Inter Milan and Lazio as well as his current club Manchester City. However Mancini has been criticised by the media saying that the only reason he is successful is mainly due to the financial support he recieves. Despite having a substantial amount of money, Mancini has successfully managed to introduce his style of football to the English game and has won the Premier Division by doing so. Mancini is known to have not so positive relationships with some of his ex employees including Welsh forward Craig Bellamy, Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor and Physiotherapist Jamie Murphy.
