Manager of the month nominees

Jose Mourinho and Brendan Rodgers are leading the way for the manager of the month award for February. The Chelsea and Liverpool manager are two of the four managers nominated for the award along with Hull City manager Steve Bruce and West Ham manager Sam Allardyce

Jose Mourinho

Mourinho’s Chelsea side was unbeaten in the Premier League for the month of February making him a strong favourite to be named manager of the month. Chelsea won 3 of the 6 games and drawing 1 and losing the other. Chelsea’s most notable win was against Manchester City at the Etihad stadium. Chelsea’s other wins came against Everton and Newcastle.

Brendan Rodgers

Rodgers Liverpool side was also unbeaten in the Premier League for the month of February making Rodgers an equally as strong. Liverpool won 3 of their 5 games in drawing 1 and losing the other. Liverpool’s most notable win was against Arsenal at Anfield when Liverpool trashed Arsenal 5-1. Liverpool’s other wins where against Swansea and Fulham.

Steve Bruce

Steve Bruce is a surprise contender for manager of the month after lifting his Hull side to 13th in the Premier League this season. Hull won 3 of their 6 games in February and drawing 2 and losing the other. Hull’s most notable win was against Cardiff when Hull trashed Cardiff 4-0 at the Cardiff City Stadium. Hull’s other 2 wins where against Brighton in the FA Cup and Sunderland.

Sam Allardyce

Sam Allardyce’s West Ham has been arguably the best side in the bottom half of the Premier League table for the month of February winning all 4 of their games. West Ham also kept 3 clean sheets in their 4 wins. West Hams most noticeable win was against Southampton at Upton Park. West Ham’s other wins was against Norwich, Aston Villa and Swansea.

The announcement for manager of the month will be made on Friday 13th March at 10AM.
