Forrest sack Billy Davis

Nottingham Forrest has confirmed that manager Billy Davis has been sacked with immediate effect. The decision was made after Forrest 5.0 defeat to Derby on the weekend.

Forrest recent form would have also played part in the sacking of Billy Davis. The club had only picked up 2 points from 6 games which has lead to Forrest slipping outside the play off players.

Nottingham Forrest has released a statement saying “Nottingham Forest Football Club have confirmed the termination of manager Billy Davies' employment.

"The club thank Mr Davies for his efforts during his second spell as manager since his re-appointment in February 2013 and wish him well for the future."
