Mane showed his electrifying pace, latching onto a pass from Adam Lallana, and racing past Arsenal defenders Nacho Monreal and Callum Chambers, before sharply cutting back inside the two defenders, onto his stronger left foot and rifling a ferocious effort into the top left corner of the net.

The free-kick award was debatable but the outcome was unquestionably spectacular, the ball whipped elegantly over Arsenal's wall before spinning away from Petr Cech's outstretched hand and into the net for 1-1.
