Deschamps Appointed France Manager

Didier Deschamps has been appointed the new France manager following the recent departure of Laurent Blanc. The French endured a difficult Euro 2012 campaign which included being eliminated in the quarter final to eventual champions Spain. Didier Deschamps has been given the role despite guiding Marseille to a disappointing 10th place and many Marseille fans demanding for Deschamps to leave his role as Marseille manager.
Despite Deschamps' last season at Marseille proved to be a desperately disappointing one. Deschamps has enjoyed a very successful career in football, playing for clubs such as Chelsea, Juventus and Marseille. He also made over 100 appearances for the French National Team. He has also enjoyed a decent managerial career, bringing Monaco to the Champions League final in 2004 and winning several trophies with a Serie B Juventus side. Deschamps also enjoyed a decent spell incharge at Marseille, winning the teams first Ligue 1 title in 17 years. However due to several boardroom issues, Deschamps has found himself moving clubs regularly.
